The Board of Directors of the International Panel Physicians’ Association congratulates Dr. Anthony Millar on his long and distinguished career and wishes him all the best in his retirement after 48 continuous years as a Panel Physician!

Australian Panel Physician, Dr. Anthony Millar is a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine with a focus on Sports Medicine. IPPA suspects that he must be taking his own advice to heart as he continues to play at the age of 86.

Dr. Millar graduated in 1947 and became a member of the College of Physicians in 1954. He was appointed as a Panel Physician in 1963. His office in Sydney, Australia sees 550 Immigration clients per year. Regular attendees of IPPA/CDC Training Sessions may remember Dr. Millar from the Manila, Philippines Summit held in 2009.

Dr. Millar shared the following inspirational story:

I was told that you could not pass the Membership exam for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians whilst still working in General Practice, as the basis for this was “it had never been done”. I passed it and this shows that you should never rely on other people’s opinions when they differ from your own.
